Songs of the Medicine of Life
A project for the 60th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations between Japan and South Korea and the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II. The story is based on myths from the Korean island of Jeju and the Okinawan island of Miyako.
The “Inoribito” have come with their wish-granting doll “Aokami” to make everyone's wishes come true. Aokami and her grandmother, a diver, met on a misty island and spent their peaceful days travelling on the beautiful sea and singing songs. One day, soldiers appear on the island, and the story begins to take off. It's a deeply moving fantasy that weaves together encounters and rebirth.
A co-production with Artstage Sun, which captivated the world with 'The Story of Dalre'.
Created and directed by Cho Hyun-Sang
Cast: Anne Jae-Min, Han Ji-Hye, Nagisa Kosa and Nishioka Nojin
