Ballad About A Small Tugboat

Novgorod Theatre for Children and Youth “Mali”
Russia
Russian Year in Japan
Age: 6+| Duration: 50 mins| In English (with a Japanese interpreter)

This is a story about the journey of a small 'Tugboat' traveling down the river and time, featuring sand animation.

The story is about the journey of a small 'Tugboat' traveling down the river and time, featuring sand animation. It's an amazing tale of one day in his life. Along with the Tugboat we will go to the harbor and meet the big ships, and we will see his dreams about going to far-off lands. Also traveling along Neva river we will see the sites of St.Petersburg/Leningrad which was loved and esteemed by the famous poet Joseph Brodsky, who created this beautiful ballad. Originally, the ballad was published in 'Koster' magazine as a child opus, but we can also understand that the story is about all of us, both adults and children. The performance has been awarded Best director at the International Theatre Festival “Christmas Parade” St.Petersburg, 2016.
